Coronavirus Tax & Business Update – Part 2
The COVID-19 virus has affected every individual and business across the globe. Our world has changed. This course is part of a series designed to help practitioners navigate our rapidly changing tax and business landscape. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”), signed into law on Friday March 27, 2020, introduces the Paycheck Protection Program (the “PPP”) with $349 billion in funding and the goal of preventing job loss and small businesses failure due to losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Details of this important program are discussed in this course so practitioners are ready to field questions and work with their clients seeking much needed cash assistance during this economic shutdown. Regulatory guidance, ethical considerations and related SBA loan programs are also covered in this session.
